Virginia Jean Keeling

Virginia Jean Keeling, age 88, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on April 9, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard E. Keeling; three children, Lisa Keeling (Todd Gregory), Matthew Keeling, Beth Keeling, one granddaughter, Olivia Mosher. Jean was born to Acie H. Kidwell and Mollie B. Thompson Kidwell in Louisville on January 23, 1934. She graduated from Holy Rosary Academy in 1952 and worked at the Glenmore Distillery Home Office, downtown. She married Richard in 1957 and started a family in 1961. She was a devoted wife and mother; her family was the most important thing to her. She loved cooking, shopping, and making things special. She had a unique flair for fashion, décor and entertaining. She still missed the old Stewart’s department store, downtown. She enjoyed listening to Tom Jones’ music. She adored cats, and especially her beloved Callie. She loved her family. Jean was preceded in death by her father, Acie H. Kidwell, and mother, Mollie B. Kidwell; sisters, Bea Watson (Jack) and Mildred Chandler (Hap). Visitation is Saturday, April 30, 10am - 1pm, Celebratory Mass 1pm, Pearson’s, 149 Breckenridge Lane.
