    Sarah DuBose Coldiron

    December 19, 1983 - April 3, 2022

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sarah DuBose Coldiron on April, 3, 2022, after courageously battling cancer. Sarah, age 38 of Smithfield, KY was born December 19, 1983 and grew up in Hampton, VA. Sarah married the love of her life and best friend, Brandon in 2014 and created a beautiful and loving family with their daughters, Audrey and Claire. Her greatest joy was being the best mom possible, always putting her daughters' needs first. Sarah completed her M.S. and Ph.D. In Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Clemson University after earning her B.S. in Psychology at Christopher Newport University. She served the healthcare community as a Senior Research Scientist, Behavioral Economics Lead as well as Experimental Design Leader at Humana in Louisville, KY for the past 10 years. Family and friends were Sarah’s passion and pleasure. She grew up spending summer and holiday vacations with her brothers and cousins at the beach, Sarah had a special love for the Outer Banks. Sarah was outgoing and adventurous, traveling all over Europe, to Morocco and a memorable trip hiking Machu Picchu and touring Peru with Brandon and friends. More recently, the family travelled often, cruising around in their RV, enjoying nature and time together. Sarah will be forever remembered for her kindness, strength, and willingness to speak her mind. Sarah is survived by a loving family, her husband, Brandon, their two children, Audrey and Claire, and her parents, Ruth Hathaway and Tommy DuBose. She was a wonderful, protective older sister to her brothers and is survived by her brother Jeremiah DuBose and predeceased by Jacob Ethan Tyler DuBose. She had a close, loving bond and is survived by her siblings-in-law Erin and Timothy Hopkins, their kids Natalie and Luke, and many other loving relatives and close friends. Sarah requested an intimate burial by her immediate family. The family sends a heartfelt thank you to all those who cared for her in the past months and for the great memories shared together. In lieu of flowers and donations, please plan to attend and share memories of Sarah's life at her Celebration of Life gathering. Details for the event are forthcoming. Arrangements under the direction of Pearson's, "Where Louisville Goes To Remember".
