December 28, 1958 - February 20, 2020
Sabrina De Lynn Carman, a Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, artist, passed away peacefully in her home on February 20, 2020. She resided in Louisville, KY. for all of her 61 years. She gathered the hearts of countless friends and family. Her love of Mother Nature, and of all living things, gave way to a special vision, to use her incredible talent to create beautiful art out of simple things. Sabrina worked many art fairs, always lending a hand to help the trade. She entered her rendition of a Gallopolusa horse, winning high accolades for her art.. She had a green thumb to be reckoned with, gaining an extensive knowledge of the plants and flowers that surrounded and complimented her inner and outer Beauty She was a cheerleader for her family. She’d cheer because she loved you. She’d cheer to let you know how much you mattered. She’d cheer because she cared so deeply. Music ran deep through Sabrina's soul. She lived the belief to “dance like no one’s watching”. Sabrina had a great affinity for Owls, Eagles, birds and even fairies. She made it no secret, upon her leaving this earthly world, she wanted to soar out to the song of Norman Greenbaums “Spirit in the Sky”. Make no mistake, she is now captaining her ship in the turquoise seas of Heaven. Standing at the stern, flying a sarong for a flag, announcing her arrival, with a dimpled laugh, an unusual seashell in one hand and a Bud Lite in the other. She is survived by her mother, Dianne Costlow, father, Corky Carman (Margaret), sisters, Felice Pierce (Jason), Jill Whitfield, Hallie Carman. Her life partner Billy Burbank. Her sons, Lytle Atherton and Townsend Jones. Nephew Gregory Whitfield and niece Lila Pierce. Grandchildren Nolan and Quinn Atherton. Memorial service Noon, Saturday, February 29th at Pearson’s, 149 Breckenridge Lane. The family will receive guest starting at 10 am until time of service. Flowers to Person's Funeral Home, will adorn her services. Or any donations can be made to the Waterfront Botanical Gardens. Waterfrontgardens.org.
