Matthew Dukes Eberhart

September 8, 1983 - May 4, 2022

Matthew Dukes Eberhart, age 38, passed away at Norton Hospital in comfort care on May 4th, 2022 from complications following several strokes. Matt was born on September 8th, 1983 to Kenneth Eberhart and Carol Dukes Eberhart. He was born with Spina Bifida which presented him with a lifetime of challenges. Matt overcame these challenges with grace and perseverance, but the last series of challenges proved too great to overcome. He is preceded by his mother and best friend, Carol Dukes Eberhart Johnson. Matt is survived by: his wife Beth Hill Eberhart, son Jackson Matthew Eberhart, father Ken Eberhart(Denise), sister Hannahlynn Eberhart(Patrick Lyons), Ken Johnson(stepfather), stepbrother Sean Johnson, John Ward IV, Matthew Ward, Josh Ward and a large extended family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, May 9th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. at Pearson’s 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, Kentucky, 40207 on Funeral service will be at Pearson’s Tuesday, May 10th at 10:00 am with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Matt’s name to : Autism Society of Kentuckiana, P.O. Box 21895 Louisville, KY 40221.
