Judith B. Gilpin

October 2, 1940 - March 31, 2022

Judith B. Gilpin of Prospect passed away on March 31, 2022. Judy was born October 2nd, 1940 in Danville, KY to the late Charles Ballard and Patricia Criscillis Ballard. Judy was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother. Judy was a 1958 graduate of Mariemont High School in Cincinnati. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a major in Education. Judy was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. UK was where Judy met the love of her life, Ray Gilpin. Her love of children led her to earn her Masters in special education at the University of Louisville. Judy was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She was a member of Glen Oaks Country Club where she enjoyed monthly dinners with the "Brownsboro Farms Group." A lifelong UK fan, she enjoyed cheering on her beloved Wildcats. Left to cherish her memory are children Kent Gilpin, Jennifer Mace (Charles), Tricia Davis (Jeff), grandchildren Logan Davis, Katie Mace, Caroline Mace, Liam Davis and Luke Davis; host of family and friends. Her funeral service will take place at noon on Friday, April 8th at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane with burial following at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7th from 4-7 PM at Pearson's. Expression of sympathy may be made to Broadway Baptist Church, Hosparus of Louisville or Alzheimer's of Louisville.
