Jean Barbara Wise Lindahl, 97, passed away March 5, 2021 just two days short of her 98th birthday in Louisville, Kentucky surrounded by family and friends. Jean was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 7, 1923 to the late Leo and Hazel Wise. In her youth, she was a passionate tennis player. Jean later worked as an executive secretary for Chrysler Corporation. She met and married the love of her life, Wayne R. Lindahl, in 1948. They settled in Chicago, Illinois where Wayne worked for the Illinois Central Railroad. In 1963, Jean and her family moved to Louisville, Kentucky when Wayne took a position with the Louisville and Nashville Railroad and all have lived in Louisville ever since. Wayne and Jean had a wonderful life together raising their children, traveling the world, playing cards with friends, and going to Frank Sinatra concerts (twelve). Jean was a huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Cubbies, and never missed watching a tennis tournament. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne R. Lindahl. Left to cherish her memory are her children, daughter, Nancy Domeck (Nick), son David Lindahl (Suzy), grandchildren; Corey Domeck (Anne), Craig Domeck (Jenna), and Emily Domeck Sackella (Tod). Jean is also survived by 6 greatgrandchildren: Harper, Dalton, Madelyn, Hunter, and twins, Landon and Nicholas, as well as other family and many friends. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Pearson’s, 149 Breckenridge Lane. Funeral and burial will be private. ‘ Memorials may be made to donor’s favorite charity.
