Dale Winston Durham, 66, passed away on May 1, 2022 at his home in New Albany, Indiana. Dale was born January 9, 1956 and was the son of the late Dr. William C. Durham and the late Virginia M. Durham. He is survived by his brother, Darryl W. Durham (Kelly), nieces Adrienne Matson (Justin) and Mallory Reese Durham and nephew Trevor W. Durham (Melissa), five grand-nieces and nephews and five cousins. Dale spent almost 40 years as a teacher, counselor, Director of Campus Ministries, Chairman of the Performing Arts Department, and producer and director of musicals and plays, all at Providence High School. Though Dale had no children of his own, his students were like family. He forged close bonds with many of his students and who became his friends as adults. Dale was recognized as an extremely positive influence on the youth that he served and was honored by Providence with a scholarship fund in his name. Dale's contributions were not confined to his students. He was a good friend to many, and opened his heart and home on countless occasions to those who were in need of his help. While Dale has passed, his legacy remains in the lives that he touched. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 4 PM – 6:30 PM at Pearson's 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, with a funeral service immediately thereafter.
