John P. Duckwall

DUCKWALL, JOHN PAUL, 55, of Louisville died Friday, January 27, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
He was the founder of the Liquor World franchise. John attended St. Stephen Martyr School, St. Xavier High School and graduated from Nicolet High School in Milwaukee, WI then attended the University of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Duckwall Jr. and Margaret Stephens and H.R. and Kathryn Snyder.
John is survived by his children, Eric Duckwall and Brandi Jordan (David); parents, Paul Duckwall III and Joyce Snyder; and his close cousin and friend, Scott Snyder (Sandy).
John loved his family and friends deeply and lived his life to the fullest. He was a licensed pilot and an avid down hill skier. John thoroughly enjoyed all water sports including swimming, boating, scuba diving and water skiing. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Louisville Cardinals.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 440 Zorn Ave., with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane.
Memorials may go to the WHAS Crusade for Children or the Kentucky Humane Society.
